Congress 2009 in Helsinki
The
successful FECC Congress 2009 in Helsinki, besides the interesting
presentations, has also released the general statistical
data on the FECC National Associations Members and the statistical
overview on the RC/RD performances of the ICCTA /FECC Members.
With regard to the FECC National Associations Members general
statistical data, the results have not changed substantially,
although we see slight decrease in No of chemical distributors
and decrease in turnover for about 4 billion Euros (26 vs
30).
The provisional FECC NAs results 2008 show some negative
trends regarding the number of companies committed to RC
(only around 42 %). Compare to data 2007, there is no trend
of improvement in RC commitment and the situation remains
very similar to 2007. With regard to the KPIs reporting,
only 32 % of all FECC NAs companies’ members submitted
KPIs. These relatively poor RC results prove the FECC decision
to develop in the tailor made European Responsible Care
programme and encourage us to start its implementation as
soon as possible.
